You didn’t miss much. A couple of floats, lots of marchers with bagpipes, batons, and such, and kids doing Irish dance (they were pretty good actually). My daughter recognised a dancer from her English class, and I recognised a fiddler from my neighbourhood.Lots of stuff that had nothing to do with Celtic heritage, too.
Nice distraction on a Sunday morning, but nothing to jump up and down about.
Yeah, I kinda figured on reasonably lame passings. Parades never usually float my boat, pun fully intended.
At least at the Pride Parade you get some nudity. I’m down with the nudity. :)
But fat Irish guys stumbling with Guinness in travellers’ mugs generally don’t get my erogenous zones firing. Add to that the difference of a hot August day and sweaty bodies versus hoping a strong wind doesn’t blow on a March Sunday, well…
Staying home and being paid to entertain an Asian kid trying to learn the English language seems more fun, y’know?
