The Binds that Tie

The Guy got his little introduction to bondage Steff-style last night. This is good news for you, boys and girls, because now I can do the postings I’ve been wanting to do on exploring bondage for beginners.

The Guy’s doing shower-type things, so I have no such time on my hands just yet. But soon.

Bondage = Good.

Face it, the bondage you “think” you know about is the stylistic bondage that the “extreme” lifestylers exhibit. Unfortunately, that’s pretty intimidating to newbies. I intend to simplify matters and take a little of the fear out of it all. I’ll give a few tips, that’s all.

It doesn’t have to be a “honey, get the leather and play some Nine Inch Nails” kind of night. That’s a stereotype, and a wrong one. So, later this week, we’ll talk restraint and pleasure, shall we?

Now… where is that guy o’ mine? Hmm…

Further proof that every woman wants to be blind folded, tickled, teased and pleased. And if they don’t, they’re thinking about it after hearing that. Although in this case it’s the other way around :P

You’re totally correct. Those black leather outfits give it a bad reputation. The few times I’ve participated in this I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. Friends of mine disagree that they don’t like the feeling of being vulnerable and not in control. I guess I’m quite the opposite. It’s all about doing it with someone you trust.

Hanh — You’re making a mistake if you think most women enjoy that; the majority probably don’t, for one of either two (or more) reasons, like: they don’t enjoy giving up control or they flat-out have trust issues for probably any number of good reasons, or they just don’t enjoy being teased.

    Sad, but true.

Me, I’m a bigger fan of doing the tease, myself. I’m not some raging dominatrix, probably not even in the ballpark, but it’s enjoyable having your partner’s trust and being able to reward them for it. In fact, it really rocks.

    Tits — Hmm, I’ll look later. :)

TGAC — yeah, it’s really unfortunate that there are so many stereotypes associated with bondage and those “disciplines,” so to speak. I’m sure it deters a great many people. When I explain my approach, I usually get diehard “not-my-type” types admitting it sounds pretty fucking good.

Perception is everything. So, let’s change the perception.

Ha. Well, you know. Some guys get all the luck.

I enjoyed myself, he enjoyed himself, everyone got a lovely night’s sleep. All good. Enough said. :) For now.

Hmmmm….does this mean lessons in Shibari????

Taking a highly technical and stylized Japanese approach to knot-tying wouldn’t exactly equate a ’simplifying’ or ‘de-hyping’ of bondage for the average person, now, would it? Heh.

So, no, no Shibari here. My approach is going to strip every bit of those more intimidating aspects of bondage out for the newby. If they want to expand their approach, or take it up a notch, as some might say, then they can do so by educating themselves on those sorts of things.

Me, I’m going to suggest a simple night in, give some tips, and leave the rest of it open to interpretation.

I might do something later on the directions or notches they can take, but at my leisure & discretion.

Sorry if it’s a disappointment to ya. I’m just trying to get more people interested in it… and also maybe educate the more closed-minded of just how wrong their perceptions about bondage might be. That’s all.

But it’s a big life and eventually I’ll have to write about new things, so who knows what’s to come. :)
