Great comment, Haa. I'm surprised there's not more comments on this one, but I suspect that in the chaos of season-finale week/extended vacation-suckage before the stat lands, no one wants the extra work of having to, like, actually type. :P

Let's see what happens with the poor neglected guy.

I'm a Catholic too with schooling and the whole works. The guilt and the closed-mindedness I felt towards people of other faiths has caused problems. I still go, but I'm not the lemming I once was.

Your point about unilaterally deciding something that affects your SO, spouse, or family is dead-on. Your life is not completely your own once you decide to share it. Two things bother me about this vow. First, why sex? Why not promise to help others instead of punishing yourself? The GF must think there is something inherently wrong with sex in God's eyes, more so than other things. This attitude is hard to overcome. Second, she's not actually honoring the vow. Is the vow there just when it's convenient for her? If a vow is a vow, then once it's broken it's broken forever. No amount of abstinence will help restore the vow.

I agree with you. For planning purposes, Jimi needs to assume that his relationship in marriage will be similar to what it is today. If he can deal with that, then at least he be realistic about he's getting into.
