I just want to say that I am touched and awed by this piece and by your courage to disclose your experience. I don't have ADD, but I know that by speaking this out loud, you will reach others in a very profound way and perhaps make their lives a little less lonely. Not just ADD people but others who carry shame, sadness that they do not speak. Your post shows them how to have strength and dignity and power. You done good! Dr. Gabor Mate, a Vancouver MD, has a very good book on ADD called Scattered Minds. It is a "personal look" at the condition, as he has it himself ... and he is an EXCELLENT writer.
